Volunteer Spotlight:
Earth Day 2025
This spring saw thousands of volunteers from community organizations, corporations, schools, and individuals lending a helping hand to keep BBP’s trails and green spaces clean, accessible, and thriving.
For Earth Day, Enbridge and VLS Environmental Solutions rolled up their sleeves to make an impact on the ground along Buffalo Bayou. VLS dug deep and generously donated (and planted!) six large Live Oak trees which will keep Buffalo Bayou Park cool, green, and resilient. As the Presenting Sponsor of our 2025 volunteer program, Enbridge’s support expands BBP’s volunteer engagement and continue our work preserving essential urban landscapes.
Want to get involved? We have many ways to join the fun! Find a volunteer opportunity that fits your time and talents.

Tasks can be modified to accommodate all abilities. When working outdoors, there are always precautions to consider. Here are some helpful tips for a safe experience:
- Stay hydrated
- Take frequent breaks
- Wear proper clothing
- Prepare for the environment
- Monitor weather conditions
