Make Music Day Houston at The Water Works

4–9pm

In connection with Make Music Houston, Buffalo Bayou Partnership presents an evening of music! Music lovers can enjoy the free celebration at The Water Works on the day of the summer solstice.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto porches, patios, neighborhoods to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

Make Music was first celebrated in 1982 in France as Fête de la Musique. Now, it’s celebrated annually in more than 1,000 cities and 120 countries around the world.

SCHEDULE:

4-5pm:  Montrose Horn Quartet

5:30-6:30pm:   Monarch Chamber Players
