“Love Motel for Insects” Pop-up Events

8–10pm

BBP’s exploration of the flora and fauna along Buffalo Bayou continues! In partnership with the University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, BBP is hosting artist/biologist Brandon Ballengée for bug-watching along the bayou this summer and fall. Nature lovers of all ages are invited to observe nocturnal arthropods like moths, beetles, and other critters that are attracted to UV light. The Love Motel for Insects is only available for a limited time, so you don’t want to miss it. Visit any of the pop-up locations from June 3 – 5 to see some of Houston’s critters up close. To enhance your bug-watching experience, make sure to download the iNaturalist app before you arrive.
