    Buffalo Bayou Cruise

    These 45-minute boat rides are a great way to spend time with your family and friends. Escape the bustle of the city and enjoy the cool breeze as you glide along Buffalo Bayou, through the heart of downtown Houston. Look for graceful herons, turtles, fish, and even an occasional alligator on the banks.

    Tours leave promptly on the hour beginning at 10am. The last tour departs at 1pm.

     

    Cost

    • Adults: $15
    • Children: $12 (ages 4-12)

    Allen’s Landing (1019 Commerce St.)

    Weather permitting. Reservations Required. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on the pontoon boat.

    Enjoy a romantic cruise with memories you’ll never forget! Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s pontoon tour boat for a cozy cruise with your Valentine. Special beverages and chocolate bites will be provided during a romantic evening boat ride with spectacular views of downtown Houston.

    45-minute tours departing at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 8pm.

    Cost: $40/person (ages 21+)

  • Nature Walking Tour

    Nature Walking Tour

    Learn about native plants and the insects that pollinate them along Buffalo Bayou! Follow along this discovery tour of Houston’s historic waterway ecosystem with Nancy Greig, founding director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center (now retired). An avid natural historian “jack of all trades”, she has particular interest in plants and insects, but birds, mammals, herpetofauna, and fish are all on her radar. At home she keeps busy with a butterfly garden, honey bee hives, and purple martin houses.

    Find your center and practice meditation in the spacious and tranquil Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern. Offered in collaboration with Union is Creation, this meditation series will feature the use of singing bowls and wind chimes to encourage mindfulness and connectivity.

    Guests should bring their own cushions or mats and water only in a non-glass container. No food or non-water drinks are allowed inside the Cistern.
