| Houston Dragon Boat
Festival Becoming an internationally popular sport, dragon
boat racing has hit the waters of downtown Houston! At the Houston Dragon
Boat Festival, teams of 25, including a steersman, a drummer, 20 paddlers,
and 3 alternates, can enter this exciting competition, which involves
250-meter sprints in traditional Hong Kong-style dragon boats. Throughout
the day’s racing, a celebration of Asian culture takes place at
Allen’s Landing Park with food, entertainment, and activities
