GOAL:
To restore, manage and conserve Buffalo Bayou as a diverse natural environment for the use, safety, development and enjoyment of present and future generations.
The Conservation Division works to address vegetation management, water quality, erosion, flood control and litter abatement along the bayou. By developing and testing best practices for small segments of the bayou, the Conservation Division can then implement these practices along the entire bayou corridor and throughout Houston’s watersheds.
The Conservation Committee is dedicated to choosing a few projects which will focus more specifically on the best possible practices for our city’s bayou.
