The Bayou Buddies invite you to become a member of our young professionals organization dedicated to enhancing Houston's historic waterway.


By joining the Bayou Buddies, you will have the opportunity to be part of the revitalization and transformation of the Buffalo Bayou. 

Bayou Buddies Mission:
The Bayou Buddies, an affiliate of Buffalo Bayou Partnership, is dedicated to enhancing Houston’s historic waterway, and raising awareness of Buffalo Bayou among Houston’s young professional community.


Bayou Buddies Membership Benefits:

- Subscription to Bayou Briefs quarterly newsletter and monthly e-newsletters

- 2 passes aboard the Partnership’s pontoon boat, The Osprey

February 6, Kayak Tour with Houston Wilderness

10am-2pm

Join Bayou Buddies and Houston Wilderness 20/20 to kayak Buffalo Bayou!  Let's meet at 10:00 a.m. at the boat launch on Woodway @ I-610.  Water & snacks will be provided together with your kayak, life vest, and paddle.  We will finish up at Sabine Promenade (~92 Sabine Street) before 2:00 p.m. and take a shuttle back to our starting point. Cost -$60 per person.  Only 20 spaces available, so reserve your spot now!  Please contact Trudi Smith at 713-752-0314 ext. 3.

This event is open to young professionals interested in exploring a different side of downtown Houston.

7th Annual Planting Party on the Parkway

Mark your calendars! The Bayou Buddies will join forces with the Trees for Houston RedBuds for the Seventh Annual Planting on the Parkway on Saturday, January 9, 2010!

We will be planting native trees along the riparian fringe at Buffalo Bend Nature Park. To join the Bayou Buddies, click here.
