Last year’s Bayou Beckons was bigger and better than ever. The 2003 Buffalo Bayou Partnership/ CenterPoint Energy Bayou Beckons featuring the Buffalo Bayou Regatta, Anything That Floats Parade and the Dragon Boat Festival took place over three weekends during the month of May. More than 125 boats participated in this year’s Regatta and we had 20 entries for the Anything That Floats Parade. And, the Dragon Boat Festival had a record number 18 teams race the waterway.

Partnering with the Orange Show’s Art Car Parade for the Anything That Floats Parade proved to be a big hit as did extending the on-water events over three weekends.

The Buffalo Bayou Partnership could not make this event happen without the tremendous support we receive from our sponsors, volunteers and board members. We are looking forward to making an even bigger splash in 2004 and we hope you’ll join us again.
