Buffalo Bayou Adopt-a-Spot Program The Buffalo Bayou Adopt-a-Spot Program provides a unique opportunity for Houston-area corporations, businesses and organizations to help beautify Buffalo Bayou through the adoption and sponsorship of special natural areas along Houston’s historic waterway. Multiple sites along the bayou corridor have been designated “spots” for
adoption. Activities undertaken at each site include invasive
species removal, litter and debris removal, native plantings, trail

All Adopt-a-Spot participants are recognized with an attractive on-site sign bearing the sponsor’s name and Adopt-a-Spot logo. On-going publicity highlighting the Adopt-a-Spot Program participants is included in the Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s publications and in the area media. Adopt-a-Spot Program Benefits Through the Adopt-a-Spot Program committed partners gain a sense of ownership, as they help plan and implement future improvements at their “spots.” The Buffalo Bayou Partnership Program also provides excellent educational opportunities through conservation knowledge and hands-on training.
